This tire is tough — it's made from a shape-memory alloy, a material that's elastic like rubber, yet strong like titanium. And it requires no pressurized air, making it 100% airless.
These tires are built to withstand roads on earth and the rocky terrain on Mars. In fact, SMART Tire's creation could be used on a rover that will traverse the Red Planet in 2026.
SMART Tire developed its technology with NASA and has more than 25,000 customers on its waiting list. Revenue is projected at thirty-two million dollars in 2026.
